Karen Graham made a solemn
promise to her dying son Billy. She promised him after he
was diagnosed with malignant melanoma that they were going to
"beat this deadly disease". Billy Graham died at
age 22, but his mother continues to fight to keep her pledge.
She founded the William S. Graham Foundation for Melanoma
Research. The
Billy Foundation is a 501C3 incorporated, non-profit
foundation, dedicated to supporting melanoma research. The
key objectives of the foundation are early detection and
prevention of this most dangerous form of skin cancer through
funding of melanoma research programs and creation of public
awareness programs.
Karen Graham and
the volunteers of the Billy Foundation have worked
tirelessly
to create an organization capable of contributing
significantly
to the prevention and eventual cure for melanoma. |
