The “Billy
Foundation” was pleased to be awarded the Silver Excellence Award at
the 2005 ASCO Annual Meeting in
Orlando
Florida.
We received the award in recognition for achieving a standard of
excellence and enhancing the overall education and professional
experience at the 2005 ASCO through our exhibit booth presentation.
Of the 2400
non-profit organizations attending ASCO this year, only two
non-profits received higher awards, MD Anderson Cancer Center and
Siteman Cancer Center, both large and long-established medical
facilities.
Billy Foundation
education and prevention programs as well as our legislative
activities were the core of our booth presentation which was
designed as a "wake-up call" to bring attention to melanoma. With
the Silver Excellence Award is an indicator, I'd say we're doing a
great job.
